Terms of Business for Showbiz World Ltd

To comply with DTI Regulations, every entertainment business and agency must publish its Terms of Business. 
Showbiz World work in accordance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003.
Showbiz world require that all clients and artists read and agree to our terms of business.
The client as referred to in these terms of business is any person, company looking to use the services of Showbiz World.
The artist as referred to in these terms is any person, act, service, management offering services which they wish to be represented by Showbiz World.

1. Showbiz World trade at all times as an Employment Business.

2. No servant or agent of this business has the power to vary these terms and conditions.

3. All Contracts between Showbiz World, Artists and Clients shall be governed by the Laws of Scotland.

4. Clients and Artists will enter into a written contract with Showbiz World and these contracts will reflect a prior binding verbal contract made between Showbiz World and the Client and Artist. Failure to return a written Contract will not constitute a cancellation.

5. Showbiz World financial terms will be as verbally agreed and will be detailed on the client and artist contract.

6. In order to ensure that there are no non-appearances or let downs, all verbal agreements are confirmed by the signing of the written contract.  In the event of very short notice bookings, the written contract may be sent after the event for your records.  Non return of duly signed contracts does not constitute cancellation and all verbal agreements will remain in force.

7. In the event of cancellation of a booking prior to the event by the client, the following charges will be payable:

  0 - 14 days PRIOR TO THE EVENT 100% of the fee is payable.

 15 - 60 days PRIOR TO THE EVENT 50% of the fee is payable.

  60 – 90 days PRIOR TO THE EVENT 25% of the fee is payable.  

  90 + days PRIOR TO THE EVENT 10% deposit is payable.

8. Circumstances, such as accident, illness, death, war or other events beyond Showbiz World’s control, may require that an artist be replaced with another artist of the same fee and quality without prior notice or compensation.

9. When completing a booking, a deposit equal to 10% of the total fee is required.  Deposits are non-refundable, except where a booking is cancelled by Showbiz World then all deposits will be immediately refunded in full.

10. The balance on any booking is due 10 working days before the event takes place unless otherwise agreed in writing.  If the entertainment booked for your event becomes unavailable and we are unable to find a suitable replacement all monies received will be repaid.

11. All clients and artists must agree that they will not pass on their direct contact details to anyone involved in the event without the prior written consent of Showbiz World.

12. The Client agrees to provide the following for the Artist:
(A) A suitable and safe performing area as discussed.
(B)  Suitable changing facilities for the Artist.
(C)  Electrical points and the electrical supply must meet or exceed British Standards.

13. The artist will be responsible for their own public liability insurance and will produce on demand, any relevant equipment safety and insurance documentation such as PAT certificates etc.

14. Any contract negotiated through this business shall be subject to these Terms of Business unless otherwise agreed in writing between all concerned parties.

15. Showbiz World is an employment business, and is party to the contract as the supplier of entertainment.  In the event of non-fulfilment or breach of any such contract we will accept responsibility up to the cost of the entertainment only.
